Your role as Content Editor
Do you have a passion for polishing content and helping people improve their skills? At idhl, our Content Editors embody our commitment to providing quality content to all clients.
You’ll have the conviction to analyse and improve other people’s work, as well as the compassion and calm to provide guidance and feedback that helps them develop.
With at least two years' experience in a similar role, you’ll dive into the detail of every piece of content, checking its grammatical and factual accuracy, optimisation for search, and adherence to client guidelines.
Main Accountabilities
- Quality check and edit content to make sure it follows brand guidelines and tone of voice/style guides, as well as checking facts for accuracy
- Provide feedback on an individual and team-wide basis and feed into progression plans for others
- Work closely with the Technical SEO, Outreach, and PR teams to ensure content ticks every box
- Be able to write all content types when required in a fluent, confident and clear manner
- Be the main point of contact for content on some client accounts and take an active lead in client communication via email, video call and face to face
- Be able to multitask and work to set targets
- Ensure daily admin tasks are completed accurately and on time
- Be proactive in your personal development and be in the know with industry updates
Core Knowledge & Skills
- At least two years' experience in a similar content role
- Be fluent in English for both your verbal and written skills
- Good knowledge and experience of key niches and industries including, but not limited to, Finance, Medical, Insurance, Technical, Legal, Lifestyle, Automotive, Logistics, etc
- Ability to create engaging content that has SEO value and builds brand awareness
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills, with the ability to assist others with this
- Able to hit targets and work within strict deadlines
- Excellent working knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience of industry SEO tools and applications
- In-depth knowledge of Google guidelines and algorithm updates
- Detailed knowledge of keyword density and the impact of keywords within written content.
