Learning and Development Partner
Do the work you’re proud of, with support at every step.
Who are IDHL?
At IDHL, we’re more than a digital agency, we’re a strategic partner to ambitious brands, helping them accelerate growth in the digital economy.
Our expertise is delivered through three core divisions: Performance, Web & eCommerce, and Intelligence – all working closely together to create impact across channels.
We’re also home to Fostr, a Shopify Plus agency for luxury and lifestyle brands, and The MTM Agency, specialists in integrated marketing and audience engagement.
What connects it all is our focus on outcomes, not just outputs. We back each other, take pride in what we do, and make sure the way we work works for everyone.
Hybrid working policy: employees are expected to work from the office twice a week.
We are also prepared to consider part time applicants for this role (4 days a week).
Your role as as Learning & Development Partner
We’re looking for an experienced and proactive Learning & Development Partner to join us in a standalone capacity, owning all things L&D while being an integral part of our wider People team. This is a unique opportunity to shape and lead the development agenda across the business, with full autonomy over strategy, design, and delivery.
Although you’ll be the sole L&D specialist, you won’t be working in isolation. You’ll collaborate closely with People team colleagues, leaders, and stakeholders across the organisation to ensure learning and development is aligned with our culture and goals.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Leading the creation and implementation of our L&D strategy; identifying priorities, designing solutions, and delivering outcomes
- Designing and facilitating leadership and management development programmes (note: while you won’t manage a team, you must have delivered in this space)
- Partnering with stakeholders at all levels, from Junior employees to SLT, to understand needs and deliver targeted learning interventions
- Designing and delivering team development workshops, for example, self-awareness, communication and using tools like Insights or Strengthscope
- Running impactful 1:1 coaching sessions with managers to support development and capability building
- Developing and managing our LMS; building content catalogues, career pathways, and working with external learning providers
- Contributing to a performance-focused learning culture, aligned with our values and business direction
- Managing your own diary and working flexibly — ideal for someone who values autonomy and ownership. You’ll be based in Leeds twice a week, with occasional travel to Manchester, Southampton, and London
What We Would Like You to Bring to the Role
- 5–10 years of L&D experience with a strong track record of end-to-end ownership, from strategy to delivery
- Comfortable working in a standalone L&D capacity; self-driven, proactive, and confident making decisions independently
- Collaborative in style, you’re a team player who thrives on partnership, and you’ll be embedded in our wider People team
- Expertise in leadership and management development — with experience designing and delivering engaging, high-impact programmes
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, confident building relationships and influencing across all levels
- Commercial mindset: you focus on adding value and measuring impact
- Experience developing and delivering L&D strategies tailored to organisational needs
- Skilled in using and developing LMS platforms and content, with an interest in career and development frameworks
- A confident facilitator and coach — able to run both group workshops and 1:1 sessions with managers
- Ideally qualified in a development or psychometric tool
- A positive, pragmatic attitude, someone who’s hands-on and solution focused
- Ideally Leeds-based, with occasional travel required
