Your role as QA Analyst
This vacancy is initially a 12 month fixed term contract to cover maternity leave, with the possibility of a permanent position after that.
IDHL are interested in hearing from both local and remote candidates for this role.
Testing & Delivery:
Create and execute test plans, test cases, and regression testing across multiple projects, in line with QA Definition of Done and Acceptance Criteria
Validate functional and non‑functional requirements for web and eCommerce solutions
Log, reproduce, and retest defects with clear, concise, and actionable detail
Conduct cross browser, cross device, accessibility, and responsive testing
Participate in sprint activities including grooming, planning, stand‑ups, and retros
Support release activities by providing testing evidence, signoff updates, and feedback
Contribute to risk based testing approaches under guidance from Senior QA Analysts and/or the QA Manager
Collaboration & Communication:
Work closely with Developers and Project Managers to clarify requirements and expected behaviours.
Raise defects with clear replication steps and testing context
Proactively question and gain detail and clarity required to accomplish test tasks to high standards
Communicate testing progress and risks to the project team in a timely manner
Participate in handovers, specification writing, internal demos, walkthroughs, and client meetings where relevant
Process & Quality:
Adhere to established QA processes, documentation standards, and testing frameworks
Maintain accurate test artefacts including test cases and logs
Contribute to continuous improvement by sharing insights, presenting to wider teams, and suggesting process enhancements
Support adoption of automation and tooling (e.g., test management tools, CI/CD visibility)
Create JIRA amends tasks that outline QA failures and expected outcomes
Technical & Platform Knowledge:
Develop working knowledge of Shopify, Adobe Commerce, BigCommerce, Kentico, and Umbraco
Stay informed about platform basics, project requirements, and common implementation patterns
Learn testing tools and techniques used by the wider team
Scheduling & Resourcing:
Monitor and stay up to date with your scheduled project bookings
Report resourcing issues to Senior QA and/or QA Manager as early as possible
Ensure time logged against tasks is accurate and timely
Team Contribution & Growth:
Actively participate in QA team meetings, knowledge sharing, and peer reviews
Engage in personal development plans set with the Senior QA Analyst or QA Manager
Take ownership of your learning and upskilling in testing methodologies and platform knowledge
Skills & Experience
ISTQB Certified (Nice to have but not essential)
Exposure to the Browser Stack
Accessibility testing exposure
Experience writing test plans with functional and non functional requirements
